High Country Firs is a local small business dedicated to providing carefully harvested Christmas trees to the discerning customer.
HCF was founded by Keith Chesnutt in 2011 who started selling Christmas trees to fund his education at NC State University. Over a decade later, Keith has handed the business over to some of his best friends in order to focus on running a Veterinarian Hospital as an owner and head doctor. Don't worry though, HCF is in good hands and continues to offer excellent customer service and top tier trees.
High Country Firs prides itself in selling high quality, dense, healthy Fraser Fir Christmas Trees (a.k.a. the Cadillac of Christmas trees), as well as wreaths, garland, and customized holiday home décor.
The trees are grown by our partner grower in the Appalachian mountains using low spray pesticide techniques (Integrated Pest Management) to minimize eutrophication and pollution. Our trees are hand-pruned and intentionally harvested, ensuring the trees are lush and fresh. The trees are harvested less than a week before Thanksgiving to ensure a fresh tree for every customer.
